Setting Up Modifiers

What Are Modifiers?

Modifiers are options that customize a menu item, like cooking temperature, toppings, or sides.

Creating a Modifier Group

1. Go to Menu → Modifiers
2. Click Add Modifier Group
3. Name the group (e.g., "Temperature", "Toppings")
4. Set selection rules:
   • Required: Must select to add item
   • Min/Max: Selection limits

Adding Modifiers to a Group

1. Within the modifier group, click Add Modifier
2. Enter modifier name (e.g., "Medium Rare")
3. Set additional price (if any)
4. Repeat for all options

Assigning Modifiers to Items

1. Edit the menu item
2. Go to Modifiers tab
3. Select which modifier groups apply
4. Set the order modifiers appear

Common Modifier Examples

• Temperature: Rare, Medium Rare, Medium, Well Done
• Size: Small, Medium, Large
• Proteins: Chicken (+$3), Steak (+$5), Shrimp (+$4)
• Toppings: Cheese, Bacon, Avocado
• Sides: Fries, Salad, Soup
