Adding Menu Items

Creating a New Item

1. Go to Menu → Items in mySTOVE
2. Click Add Item
3. Fill in the required fields:
   • Name: Item name as it appears on POS and receipts
   • Category: Which category this belongs to
   • Price: Base price before modifiers

Optional Settings

• Description: Shows on online ordering
• Image: Displays on kiosks and online ordering
• SKU: For inventory tracking
• Tax: Override default tax rate
• Printer Routing: Which kitchen printer

Item Availability

• Active: Shows on POS and online ordering
• Hidden: Available but not displayed
• 86'd: Temporarily out of stock

Tips for Item Setup

• Use clear, recognizable names
• Include dietary indicators (V, VG, GF)
• Set accurate prep times for online ordering
• Add appealing photos for online/kiosk
