Managing Item Availability (86'ing)

What Does 86 Mean?

In restaurant terminology, "86" means an item is out of stock or unavailable. STOVE makes it easy to 86 items in real-time.

86'ing an Item from POS

1. Long-press the item on the POS screen
2. Select 86 Item
3. Item immediately shows as unavailable
4. Syncs to online ordering automatically

86'ing from mySTOVE

1. Go to Menu → Items
2. Find the item
3. Toggle the 86'd switch
4. Or click Quick 86 from dashboard

Bringing Items Back

To make an item available again:

1. Long-press the item on POS, select Un-86
2. Or toggle off the 86'd switch in mySTOVE

Automatic 86

With inventory tracking enabled, items can automatically 86 when stock reaches zero.

86 Notifications

Configure alerts to notify managers when items are 86'd via:

• Push notification
• Email
• SMS
