Creating Menu Categories
Why Categories Matter
Categories organize your menu and help staff find items quickly. Well-organized categories can reduce order time significantly.
Creating a New Category
- Go to Menu → Categories in mySTOVE
- Click Add Category
- Enter category name (e.g., "Appetizers", "Entrees")
- Upload an optional icon or image
- Set display order (lower numbers appear first)
- Click Save
Category Best Practices
- Keep category names short and clear
- Limit to 8-12 categories for easy navigation
- Order categories by typical order flow
- Use consistent naming conventions
