Voids, Comps, and Discounts

Understanding the Difference

• Void: Remove item before it's sent to kitchen (no record)
• Comp: Remove charge after item is made (tracked for reporting)
• Discount: Reduce price by percentage or dollar amount

Voiding an Item

Before sending to kitchen:

1. Tap the item in the order
2. Select Remove or Void
3. Item is removed from order

Comping an Item

After item has been sent/made:

1. Tap the item in the order
2. Select Comp
3. Choose a comp reason
4. Manager approval may be required

Applying Discounts

1. Tap Discount on the order screen
2. Choose discount type:
   • Percentage off entire order
   • Dollar amount off
   • Preset discount (Happy Hour, Employee, etc.)
3. Manager approval may be required

Manager Approval

Some actions require manager override:

1. System prompts for manager PIN
2. Manager enters their PIN
3. Action is logged with manager name
