Inventory Tracking Basics

Enabling Inventory Tracking

  1. Go to Inventory → Settings
  2. Enable Track Inventory
  3. Choose tracking method:
    • Track by item (simple)
    • Track by ingredient (detailed)

Adding Inventory Items

  1. Go to Inventory → Items
  2. Click Add Item
  3. Enter:
    • Item name
    • Unit of measure
    • Par level (reorder point)
    • Current quantity
    • Cost per unit

Linking to Menu Items

Connect inventory to menu for automatic depletion:

  1. Edit a menu item
  2. Go to Inventory tab
  3. Add ingredients and quantities
  4. Inventory depletes with each sale

Low Stock Alerts

Get notified when items reach par level:

  • Dashboard notifications
  • Email alerts
  • Push notifications

Inventory Reports

  • Current stock levels
  • Stock value
  • Usage history
  • Variance reports
